Make This Day Great: Stop Acting Wickedly

There are many people, both men and women, who are wicked and perpetrate evil in this world. They squander properties, maim and kill people.

This act of wickedness happens everywhere, all continents – UK, America and China inclusive. It happens in all countries of the world. Indeed, it is a global phenomenon that needs to be arrested, addressed and reversed because it affects human capital and labour force which in turn has negative impacts on the economy of the world as a whole.

What is of great concern is that when any of the perpetrators is apprehended, he would feign ignorance. He might say something like it was due to absence of parental care which led him to the hand of an evil leader. This is not enough reason to be wicked and perpetrate evil!

There are many citizens that had gone through the same experience in the past and yet became successful and a force to reckon with. If you do evil because of challenges, there is a tendency to do the same, if you have the chance, when you are very okay.

In historical records, we have read about servants of wicked leaders and their wives that did not do wickedly but act well. One of such is Obadiah, the Governor of King Ahab’s house. The king was a wicked leader, yet his servant, Obadiah, feared the Lord, not ordinarily but greatly (1 Kings 18:3–4).

Obadiah purposed in his heart that he would not participate in the maiming and killings perpetrated by his master with his wife. Yet, he was serving his master wholeheartedly but not in their acts of wickedness.

Were you by chance captured by a terrorist’s group? You can by wisdom purpose in your heart that you would not participate in their wickedness. It may be that God wants to use you as an instrument of freedom for them.

Another in the catalogues of people that served under bad leadership, and yet purpose to do good is Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward (Luke 8:3). She ministered unto the kingdom of her substance. She did not support the beheading of good people by Herod and his cabinet.

If you have the seeds of good acts in you, circumstances shouldn’t make you evil. Therefore, if through parental negligence, joblessness, poverty, and acts of unkindness from wicked people, you have become a perpetrator of evil acts, it is high time you REPENTED. You have to THINK and act fast because it is dangerous to die in such acts. God can help you to come out of it, you can gather your scattered and chattered life again. You can become an instrument of good governance.
