The Significance of Xmas

Revelation 22:12 – “And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”

Jesus was the one speaking here. He had resurrected and gone to heaven. He has promised the Christians that, “In his father’s house, there are many mansions.” This will be enough for everyone of us that have given our lives to Jesus Christ. He is coming back for every true Christian.

It might look as if Jesus would not come back because they had been saying it from one generation to another, and yet He hadn’t come. Nobody can fully understand the way God works, Jesus is coming back one day, and it is very close now. It was about 2020 years ago, and every one in this world knows the work he did for all of us for his 33 and half years on the surface of the earth. That is why we commemorate his birth December 25 of every year tagged Christmas (Xmas).

Jesus is definitely coming back again for those that will continue to work like him. He is coming back to reward everyone of us as our work SHALL BE! Not on our past! What does this imply? If you have given your life to Christ, and you are doing good by His grace, be steadfast and ride on. If you have given your life to Jesus and you are doing good all this while, if you do evil just for one day, and you die or Jesus comes back, you have forfeited all the good you had done in the past.

However, if you have not given your life to Christ just because of your past, surrender your life to Him now. He is not going to judge you base on your past but on the work you shall do. I implore you, just like that “prodigal son,” to go back home to your father. You are secured under the guidance of your father God.

At Xmas, We are celebrating the coming to pass of the prophecy of his first coming, to have an assurance of his second coming. Christmas is a reminder of the second coming of Jesus!

Merry Xmas in advance as we celebrate the birth of the saviour of the whole world, Jesus Christ!
