In the Quest for Success in Life, There Are Seemingly Unimportant Steps But Crucial

I was set for the journey, I have put everything in place. I bought a new wiper, a new fire extinguisher, some new plugs, I changed the oil, I toped up the break oil and also the hydraulic steering oil.

As we were going accelerating with different speeds, climbing heights of different reliefs and negotiating bends of different radius – the varieties that are found in very good road design – one of the tyres busted. Thank God it was one of the rear ones, if it was a front wheel, it wouldn’t have been easy to control. Besides, I was controlling the speed of my acceleration, despites being on an express road.

We finally managed to come to a halt. We happily jumped out of the car believing that the spare tyre is intact. When we brought out the tyre, it was already deflated. It was a surprise to me. I thought I have thoroughly prepared, but I have left the most important thing undone. To me, having a deflated tyre as a spare is like having none.

We were already far from a near city, and the next one is also far. We were in a dilemma! Should we go back to the city we left or move unto the next in order to find a vulcanizer that would help us inflate the tyre? We couldn’t even go in our vehicle, if we do, we were going to spoil the tyre to condemnation.

The battle of who would HELP us continued. It was a public holiday, only few vehicles were plying the road, and none of them would like to render any help, in case it was a trick for robbery.

As we were praying for help and thinking on what to do, a motorcyclist showed up and he offered to help but at a high price. We agreed, and as I was thinking of, “Should I follow him or not? “Should I leave my nuclear family behind or followed him so that he didn’t disappear into thin air?” He voiced out and said, “If it were some people, they would not come back with your tyre.” We said thank you, and with FAITH, we allowed him to go alone, and we started jacking the car up.

Before we found one of the tools to be used, it was another story. The spanner hung up somewhere as if it was magnetized. Thank God it was found at last. The ‘okada’ man came back and we thanked him, after paying the agreed amount. We fixed the tyre, and we finally got to our destination.

Upon all our preparation, just a minor omission would have caused us a lot. We had the spare tyre, but it wasn’t INFLATED.

In our quest for success in life, as we are trying to do everything to succeed. As we are taking seemingly important steps to us. There are some steps that seem unimportant, but that are necessary for us to get to our successful destination. We need God in this area, because it’s with inspiration, not by strength, we can take such steps, without neglecting them.

Thanks for reading. Best wishes and regards.
