As the young man was introduced to come and render a ‘special number’, the whole congregation burst into shout and he was accompanied with a thunderous clap, as he moved majestically to the pulpit.
A trumpet was hanging on his neck, but he started with a sonorous rendition to praise God and lead the people into His presence, so that they can easily receive from Him. What a beautiful solo performance!
I thought the trumpet hung on his neck is just for a decorative purpose, as some upcoming gospel artists and musicians would do. As the first rendition is ending, he started playing the trumpet, and everyone in the church including myself started praising God like never before. What s good use of his God-given gift! I didn’t know whether the church gave him honorarium, and I myself wasn’t able to give him anything.
But today, he is a well-known musician singing praise to God and inspirational with motivationsl pieces to move fans into their desired level. He has waxed many albums with well-known gospel artistes in the state. He had also travelled abroad times without number to minister.
What he is receiving from most of the congregants that were always under his ministration then, now surpasses what we would have given him: I listened to his hit tracks almost everyday, and many have become his die-hard fans. God is not a user of men, but a ‘Blesser’ of men said Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church (LFC) Worldwide. If He doesn’t pay you immediately, he will pay you thereafter with interest.
Don’t just show your gift to the world, use it for the Lord. Show the Stuffs You Are Made of through Working for God, It pays Off in the Long Run. In fact, That Is Where Your Future Lies.
