In part 1 of these series, Making Money Online, it was established that online business is not a getting-rich-quick scheme, with hardwork and patience, it pays off in the long run. It was also established that there are many ways money can be made through the internet among which are Freelance Writing, Affiliate Marketing/ Advertising, Digital products Creation like eBooks, Products Review, Online Surveys, and Online courses.
Before we move to discuss another way of making money online, why is it that many people don’t want to do internet business? I think the major reason, besides the know-how, is the method of payment. Many doubt the authenticity of the payments. Now, it is easier than before to be paid for your products and services online
How to Be Paid for Your Online Business
As we have already established that there are many business opportunities online ranging from Affiliate Marketing e.g Google Adsense, Freelance writing, Online Survey, Digital products like publishing your books in eBook format. Many people still don’t want to do internet business because they doubt the authenticity of payments. This a global and common phenomenon, US Freelancers Union reported that 50% of freelancers have encountered difficulties receiving payments.
Now how can you be paid for your online businesses? You can be paid through the following platforms: Check, PayPal, and Payoneer.
- Paper Pay Check: An international check can be sent to your Postal Address, when you receive it, it can either be lodged into your domiciliary account or be cashed in some banks. I think everyone knows the disadvantage of receiving letters, what about if it gets missing? Payment can also be delayed.
- Paypal: PayPal is available in more than 200 countries, and it pays in more than 20 currencies. Money can be sent and received through most countries, but some countries can send money but can not receive money. An example of such countries is Nigeria. I’m hoping that PayPal will do something to that on time.
You can send and receive funds quickly from your PayPal account. You can buy products and send funds abroad without sharing your financial information. You can also receive money quickly internationally from anyone or company with an email address in the 203 countries and regions that accept PayPal, and you can withdraw money from your PayPal account: to your local bank account, or via a check which you can cash through your domiciliary account.
3.Payoneer: Payoneer is founded in 2005. It is an industry-leading global payments company accelerating growth that helps its customers by improving the way they manage and pay partners, affiliates and independent workers worldwide.
The Payoneer account allows you to receive funds from various sources around the world, and easily withdraw them in more than 200 countries and over 50 currencies. It works together with its issuing banks to market, manage, and service prepaid debit MasterCard. Don’t forget you can only receive payment from US companies only, not from individuals.
The platform uses Global Payment Service which is a service that enables you to receive payments from companies worldwide as if you have a local bank account in those countries.
I am using Payoneer account to receive the royalties for my books, if you want to open your account, you can click on this link: Payoneer Account Opening
