The 3 Major Determinants of Success

Please SHARE, if you find it helpful to others. Thanks!

successIf you sum all factors that determine success together, you are going to narrow them down to these major factors. Hence, the three major determinants of successful endeavor in life are:

God – You need the backing power of this almighty being, God. He is a success. He was successful in all His endeavors, and till date, He still records success in anything He lays His hands upon. Bishop David Oyedepo said, “God is everything you need to have all your needs met.” I am a strong advocate of this, because, it is well-said and virtually true. God never fails. He has never failed before. Therefore, if you want to be successful in life, you need Him.

You may say, you know some atheists that are making it, and moving ahead in life. You just need to wait to see what become of them at the end, “the end will justify the means.” It is a matter of time, and you will know that, their success is not a real success, but a mirage.

People – I bet it with you, you need people to have a successful endeavor in life. God would always bring people that would help you on your way up. Some people may be wicked and selfish, but men are not always the same. There are nice people that are always ready to render a helping hand, though they may be few.

Those that were able to see far, did just a simple thing. They climbed the shoulders of the tall ones in front of them. You need people that are taller than you to reach the apex on time. You need those that are at the same level with you, in order to maintain the position. You also need those that are below you, there are what they possess, that you need to tap into. Therefore, you need to be nice to as many people as possible that come your way, because “People don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.” You don’t only need to be nice to the power that be, but to everyone that comes your way.

You may not need everybody, but you would definitely need some. Therefore, once again, you have to be nice to everybody, because you don’t know those that you would actually need. “If you want to go fast, go alone; but if you want to go far, go with people.” I think the African proverb makes sense?

Yourself – You would always need yourself to make it in life. You would need yourself in the area of hardwork, integrity, correct decision, etc. But the fact is that, you have to love yourself, and win the war against self. You need to conquer yourself! Before you can conquer anything in life, you need to conquer self – you need to accept yourself the way you are.

First thing and foremost, you accept yourself the way you are, and then work on your weak areas, while maximizing your area of strength. When you conquer self, then, it is easy to be successful in life. A little achievement always gives birth to a bigger one. The most important war to be fought and won is the war against self. You need yourself! Take care of your whole yourself: spirit, mind and body. Crave for a spiritual growth, a sound mind, and a nice physical treat. Take care of your body, “Health is wealth.” Work on your mind – your Intellectual Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ) are both important, and your spiritual growth supersedes them all.

You can’t neglect these three segments of your being, if you actually want to have a great success in life.

Don’t let us be gray, so that we can have good relationship with God, others, and ourselves, in order to get to our destination in no time.
