If you are looking for luck to make it in life, you won’t know when opportunity knocks at the door, because, opportunity always wraps and presents itself in hard work.
Luck is a success that seems to happen by chance (Encarta Dictionary, 2009). That is to tell you that, in its real sense, luck does not exist. Practically, no success can come by chance. If you are waiting for luck in life, you are living in a lurking place. It is only hard work that brings good success. Those that are really working hard are still praying for successful endeavor, not to talk of those that are waiting for luck. The goddess of luck, if there is any, only favors those that are very industrious.
If you are looking for luck in life, you are only gambling. And if you are gambling, you are living in a lurking place. Have you ever seen gamblers that play in an open place, they move into a lurking place. So, if you are in a hidden place, no opportunity can find you. Instead of looking for luck, what you need to do is to be hard working, that is when you can be found by opportunity.
Opportunity only looks for those that have prepared and are working hard for success, not those that are waiting lazily. I would not say there are no elements of luck, there are, but the percentage of those that have made it luckily in life is so minute in quantity, that it can really be reduced to zero. What do I mean by that? There are bound to be challenges of life, and in such time, anyone that has made it by luck would not be able to stand the pressure. The foundation is not well-laid and well-built. And it is very conspicuous that when a foundation is not well-laid and well-built, at the slight of a small-intensity wind, the building would fall. That is the lot of whoever made it luckily, if such is challenged, he would not be able to gather his scattered life again.
They have made it through luck, they cannot recognize opportunity, hence, when the opportunity knocks the second time, they wouldn’t know it is the one. If you are looking for luck to make it in life, you won’t know when opportunity knocks at the door, because, opportunity always wraps and presents itself in hard work.
There is no luck anywhere, if you make it by chance, you cannot maintain the riches, and you cannot manage the success, because you don’t have the experience to do so. If you jump to the top of the ladder, you would definitely find yourself back on the floor. If you are waiting for luck, you are gambling, and those that do gamble always loose all, at the end of the day.
